Krystal is the director and principal Psychologist at Browne Psychology and established the private practice in 2019. She holds full general registration with the Australian Health Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Psychology Board of Australia, and is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). Krystal holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Neuroscience (Monash), a Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Deakin), and a Masters of Clinical Psychology (Deakin). Krystal was first registered in 2011, and has worked in primary mental health settings for a number of years, as well as clinical private practice and forensic psychology services as a Senior Psychologist. She is also a member of the International Society for Schema Therapists (ISST) and is a current Candidate for standard Schema Therapy Certification.
Krystal prioritises a client-centred, warm, and empathic therapeutic style with her clients, helping them to develop a strong sense of safety and security in their therapeutic relationships with her. She seeks to work alongside clients to give them the support they need, and the skills and knowledge to continue their healing outside of the therapy room. Krystal is experienced in delivering Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and treats a wide range of mental health conditions across the lifespan including anxiety, depression, simple and complex trauma, behavioural conditions, personality and emerging-personality disorders, as well as grief and loss, relationship issues and repair, and adjustment to life stages.
Krystal grew up in the area and has returned to settle here with her family. She is passionate about providing the community with access to high-quality, evidence-based psychological treatment.
